Advanced Lower Body Strength/Pre-Jog/Light Plyo Drills
This program is for someone trying to increase lower body strength and/or progress back to jogging after an injury or just wants to add a little spice to their current strength program
If you had a prior surgery, make sure you have clearance from your doctor before performing any of these pre-jog/plyo exercises.
These 2 programs have multiple exercises in them so with that being said, choose from one of the following plans:
Trying to Increase overall lower body strength:
Pick 5-6 of the lower body exercises day 1 and then pick 5-6 more (each exercise has an optional variation - pick a different variation each time you pick a certain exercise.)
Example:
Day 1: Squats, RDL, Bulgarian Lunges, Lateral (slider) Lunges, Hip Thrust
Day 2: Squat pulses, Lunge pulses, Single leg RDL, Single leg hip thrust, Weighted Lateral Lunges, Lateral Step ups
Trying to return to running/sport:
Pick 3 Pre-Jog/Plyo Drills + 3-4 Strength Exercises for day 1.
Day 2: pick 3 more pre jog/plyo and 3-4 more strength exercises until you are able to complete them all.
After - repeat for the next 4 weeks. Also, you are more than welcome to change them up - if you have questions, please email us - we are here to help you, not confuse you!
Example for day 1: Banded jump squats, step up hops, jump rope, lunge pulses, barbell squats, single leg RDL
