Frozen Shoulder
(Adhesive Capsulitis)
Presents with significant shoulder pain and loss of motion
Difficulty reaching overhead or behind back
Usually more painful at night
Usually Occurs between the ages of 40 and 65 years old
More common in women vs men
It can last months to multiple years
It is usually self limiting (will eventually improve), but Physical Therapy has been shown to improve mobility, decrease pain, and improve function
