Little League Elbow
Overuse injury due to repetitive overhead throwing
Common in sports such as volleyball, water polo, tennis, and baseball/softball pitchers
Signs/Symptoms:
Pain is typically present at the inside aspect of the elbow (sometimes they may feel a knot at the elbow)
Pain occurs during the late and early cocking phase of throwing
Numbness or tingling in the arm
Locking of the elbow
Restricted range of motion
If this is ignored it may cause repetitive stress to the ulnar collateral ligament which is the most stabilizing ligament of the elbow that may lead to surgical fixation if not treated properly
