  • The Rotator cuff is made up of 4 muscles that connect from the scapula to the head of the humerus and all provide strength and stability during all shoulder motion

  • Increased incidence in people that participate in overhead activities (baseball/volleyball) such as repetitive throwing, painting or carpentry

    • This can develop chronically with overuse of overhead activities or from an acute injury

  • This condition is more significant after the age of 50

  • Typical signs/symptoms:

    • Pain with overhead activities

    • Weakness

    • Night pain
