The Rotator cuff is made up of 4 muscles that connect from the scapula to the head of the humerus and all provide strength and stability during all shoulder motion
Increased incidence in people that participate in overhead activities (baseball/volleyball) such as repetitive throwing, painting or carpentry
This can develop chronically with overuse of overhead activities or from an acute injury
This condition is more significant after the age of 50
